Tackling Inflation & Lowering the Cost of Living for Texas Families

The rising cost of goods and services is one of the greatest challenges facing hardworking Texans today. Since COVID-19, inflation has skyrocketed, driven in part by reckless government spending—including the $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 that flooded the economy with printed money. This surge in federal spending has placed a heavy burden on our families, businesses, and retirees, making it harder to afford everyday necessities like groceries, utilities, and fuel.

As your next Representative for Texas’ 9th Congressional District, I will partner by bringing down the cost of living and restore economic stability by:

Curbing Excessive Government Spending – The federal government must return to fiscal responsibility and stop passing trillions in debt onto future generations. We must cut wasteful spending and focus on policies that create long-term economic growth instead of temporary relief that drives inflation.

Strengthening Our Energy Sector – Texas is the energy capital of the world, and by increasing domestic oil, natural gas, and renewable energy production, we can lower utility bills, reduce fuel costs, and ensure energy independence—making everyday expenses more affordable for all Texans.

Restoring Competitive Markets – I will work with food manufacturers, distributors, and major retailers to remove supply chain bottlenecks and lower grocery costs for Texas families. By reducing unnecessary regulations and increasing competition, we can ensure lower prices on essential goods.

Providing Tax Relief for Working Families – The government should not be taking more money out of your pocket when prices are already high. I will push for tax relief, including cuts to federal income and business taxes, allowing Texans to keep more of their hard-earned money.

Supporting Small Businesses & Job Growth – The best way to lower inflation is to create jobs and support small businesses—the backbone of our economy. By reducing burdensome regulations and expanding access to capital, we can help businesses grow, create more competition, and lower costs across the board.

Houston and Texas deserve a representative who will fight for common-sense economic policies that put families, businesses, and taxpayers first. It’s time for real leadership that understands the struggles of everyday Americans and works toward solutions that make life more affordable.

I’m ready to partner for Texas. Let’s bring down costs, grow our economy, and build a stronger future—together.
