Deddrick T. Wilmer is a dedicated leader in real estate finance, a committed community advocate, and a proud compassionate conservative ready to champion the values that make America strong. With three decades of experience in the financial sector and a deep passion for public service, Deddrick is running for Congress to bring bold, principled leadership to Washington.
His journey in finance began in 1994 while attending college and working part-time at a bank. He quickly rose through the ranks, earning key certifications such as HUD Direct Endorsement Underwriter and Veterans Administration Staff Appraisal Reviewer, while also serving as a National Underwriting Manager. Over the years, he held leadership roles at some of the nation’s top financial institutions, including Wells Fargo, Bank of America, Capital One, JPMorgan Chase, and CitiBank. Now, as President of Gumbeaux Lending Group, he leads with integrity, strengthening client, investor, and banking relationships while fostering a thriving, family-oriented workplace.
Beyond business, Deddrick has always been deeply involved in his community. Elected Director of Harris County Municipal Utility District 248 in 2022, he understands the importance of responsible governance and efficient public service. His leadership extends to professional organizations such as The Texas Association of Water Board Directors, Mortgage Bankers Association, Texas Mortgage Bankers Association, Greater Houston Builders Association, National Builders Association, and the Women’s Council of Realtors and Greater Houston Frontiers.

A devoted father and proud Texan with deep South Louisiana roots, Deddrick believes in the power of faith, family, and freedom. He dedicates time to coaching youth baseball and serving as a Play-by-Play Broadcaster for the Texas Sports Network and a Proud Supporter of LSU's Tiger Athletic Foundation, bringing people together through sportsmanship and fellowship.
