Fiscal Responsibility: Stopping Washington’s Reckless Spending

The government cannot continue printing money and piling on debt without a clear return on investment for our nation. The growing federal deficit should not be a burden passed down to future generations. We must break the cycle of reckless spending—managing our national debt has become one of the largest expenditures of the federal government, and that is simply unsustainable.

That said, the government has essential responsibilities:

  • A Strong National Defense – Ensuring the safety and security of our country.
  • Disaster Relief & Emergency Response – Providing timely assistance to communities in crisis.
  • Protecting Social Security, Medicare & Medicaid – Keeping our promises to seniors and vulnerable Americans.
  • Investing in Infrastructure – Building and maintaining roads, bridges, and broadband access.
  • Clean Water & Air – Ensuring environmental protections that directly impact public health.
  • State & Local Partnerships – Supporting essential services without federal overreach.

Fiscal responsibility must be a priority. I will partner to ensure taxpayer dollars are spent wisely, cutting wasteful programs, eliminating fraud, and demanding accountability. We must balance financial sustainability with meeting the core needs of the American people—because Washington should work for you, not for special interests or bureaucrats.
